Creationism in Australian schools.

Personally, I’d like to believe that such silliness as Creationism has found no place in the Australian education system — unfortunately, I’ve always known that in some places (particularly up north — you know which north I’m talking about) it has weaned its way into the curriculum of various schools.

Now we’ve got a first hand description of Creationism in a (private) school, and sadly it comes from my own state of Victoria. Over at theĀ Young Australian Skeptics siteĀ Hanster7705 has written up an account of his school encounter with this guy:

Head over and check it out — it’s infuriating nonsense, lightened somewhat by the fact that it seems many of the students weren’t taken in.

  2. Well I’m convinced by his flawless logic and understanding of the bible.
How could I have been so wrong all these years!

Ah well old habits die hard so I’ll keep believing that silly thing they call solid scientific evidence…
